Too tired.
Nothing major has really happened, but somehow, this year has not come to a right start.
If only I could just fast-forward this year of my life. Just this one year.

It's the most wonderful time of the year
OMG. The BKK trip was blissfully meant to be 13 Dec to 16 Dec. Due to the bloody protests we cancelled the hotel but not the plane tickets as the cat who promised to fly us there lied to me and told me changes to the itinerary could only be made a week before the trip. Now the bloody protests are gone and we are stranded with plane tickets, incurred the hotel cancellation charges and have to re-book the damn hotel.
FUCK.

Ordinary day, ordinary place and ordinary things.. Just an ordinary date at Clementi today, looking around at the pasar malam and a million other random things. But it was good, as usual. Just wish we had a home of our own, so we wouldn't have to go out just to meet up. HDB sales launch is in Oct, and everyone around me seem to be talking/asking me about getting married. It's time..

There I was, sitting at my desk at work today, staring at the calendar.. Searching my mind and memories for why this date felt so familiar and special to me.
Then when I suddenly had it, I smiled and let the memories, many pleasant but mostly painful, rush over me.
2 years ago, we were new joiners at DT. Fresh from graduation, and eager to embark on our first careers. I remember going shopping with Angeline days before the actual day, and spending like what, 500 bucks on clothes and shoes and jewellery cos there she was, telling me that I should buy every single thing because "it's nice!" (BAD shopping partner!)
Two years on, some of us who shared that training room that day have left that - for want of a better word - stupid place, but I am indeed surprised that the majority of us made it.
Congratulations guys. I, for one, know that it is not easy, at all.
The only thing I miss from there are the friendships that I was blessed with. Angeline (dear OLD friend), Huiming, Joyce, my SCPL team and many others. Must endeavour to meet up with them soon! Oh, going to Celine's wedding and Night Safari with them soon! =) Friends are such valuable things people.

Hey I'm still alive. Why are you still reading my blog?
Ok updates.
1) I have come to learn that a job
does not mean that you need to slog your life away for a pittance. You
could enjoy yourself for a comfortable pay. You just need some guts,
luck and good interview skills to get you that place in life.
2) Bistro One Zero Three at Pasir
Panjang is officially my favourite restaurant of all time!! The darling
and I have just returned from date night, and are proud to announce
that we polished off a plate of garlic bread, 2 plates of pasta and a
wonderful panna cotta. Now the darling is concussed on the bed with a
bad flu, although he was miraculously cured by Diablo II for the 10
minutes I spent in the shower.
3) I have also come to realize that I can't type on an unfamiliar keyboard in the dark. I suck.
